Assessment and Reporting
At Tenambit Public School we believe that assessment is on-going and part of the learning process. Parents and children are encouraged to be a part of this process. The children are encouraged to self-evaluate by setting their own goals and striving for Quality Work.
Reporting is through a Class Report and Work Sample Portfolio each semester which highlights what your child can do and contains work samples. Three way interviews are held in the first half of the year so that parents, children and teachers can discuss what has been achieved and how they can work together to promote further growth and learning.
Children in Year 3 and Year 5 sit for NAPLAN Tests. .This enables parents to gain some indication of the child’s performance in relation to other children in Australia.
